Monero Enables Regulatory Compliance (optionally or on-demand)

in cryptocurrencies •  6 years ago  (edited)

Monero is a decentralized cryptocurrency, meaning it is secure digital cash operated by a network of users. Transactions are confirmed by distributed consensus and then immutably recorded on the blockchain. Third-parties do not need to be trusted to keep your Monero safe.

Monero enables full regulatory compliance by users (optionally or on-demand) the same way cash transactions are disclosed to authorities during the tax filing process. Monero provides full transparency of transactions via public and private view keys that the holder of an account can activate with ease. Said another way, Monero transactions are handled the same as cash transactions in the eyes of tax authorities who rely upon the integrity of tax filers. Of course, failure to report taxable transactions under the law is tax evasion and a crime in most jurisdictions of the world. Currently, Monero is the only cryptocurrency technology available today that delivers on its privacy, decentralization, and digitization promises.
