Will Donald Trump's plan to reboot the American Dollar by backing it by gold affect cryptocurrencies?

I've been reading that supposively on Jan 1st, 2018 Donald Trump is going to reboot the dollar by backing it by Gold again. Claiming he will be the first president in years to have full control of the federal reserve. It is proclaiming gold to reach 10,000 an ounce. It also was saying to invest in royalty companies who have low debt and own royalty rights in gold, silver, copper, uranium. I wonder will this affect Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in a positive or negative way. I have read about a couple of crypto's that are actually backed by gold, but as far as I know United States citizens can't buy them. I want to find a good ico to invest in but there are so many and I wonder because of how volatile they are if some gov't decision could just demolish cryptocurrencies. The reason I am Leary is because the U.S. can't get in on most of these ICO'S. Any thoughts or advice!
