My Morning Routine and The Recent Cryptocurrency Bloodbath

Of late, we have been seeing a lot of Fear Uncertainty and Doubt (FUD) in the cryptocurrency market. There has been crazy drops in most of the cryptocurrency prices. Just by visiting some forums and videos, one will be bombarded with a mix bag of responses. Some will claim that it is the end of cryptocurrency, some will claim that we should just hold on, hang in there, and HODL!

In many cases, the recent cryptocurrency sea of red or bloodbath really reminds me of certain aspects of my morning routine. A routine that every parent can identify with, which is getting a child ready to school. Timing the market and trading cryptocurrency is in my opinion a much easier feat than preparing my child for school in the morning.

The Emotions

The very first aspect to take into account is the emotions. I find myself subconsciously checking the price on Coinmarketcap, hoping that the price would somehow recover. Although they say that the market would recover after Chinese New Year, one can hope, right?

However, it is a roller-coaster of emotions. At some point, the price goes up a little and you feel that the winds of change is upon us. The next moment, it drops like crazy. This has been going on for a few weeks with no end in sight. However, one can always hope for the best.

The same goes for me hoping that things will get better when my child finally goes to school. How I cherish the days when it was simpler. These days, there are times where random emotions would pop up. There are days where my child would be happy to go to school and there are days where for no reason, tears seem to be mixed together with the morning breakfast.

The Accidents

The thing about investing in cryptocurrency is that, try as I may, I have never be able to prepare for the inevitable crash. This I dub as the accidents. This can be in the form of news on cryptocurrency ban or a sudden hack of an exchange. This seems to be happen rather frequently lately.

However, I think I may not be good with market analysis or technical analysis, the sudden drop for me seem to be unavoidable. Then again, I have only been into cryptocurrency for a good five months, so I count it all as a learning experience. Who knows, maybe one day I may develop the coveted sixth sense that so many traders and gurus in cryptocurrency have.

The same goes for the morning routine with my child. I may wake up early and wake my child up half an hour early, prepare all the necessary items the night before and still I will not be able to send my child to school early. This can be caused by many things. This include sudden toilet breaks, misplaced items and even the occasional car problems. There was once my car's battery died and I had to take a grab to take my child to school.

The Hope

I think with how much investment that is pouring into the market, I have hope that more and more people will continue to invest in the cryptocurrency market. I have hope that this short price drop is only temporary and we should pick up again soon. With time, who knows? 1 Steem may even be 30USD.

Now, if you would excuse me, I need to sleep early. I have a feeling that tomorrow is the day where I will finally get out of the house early. A market can't stay down forever and a father will never be late forever.
