I know what your thinking damn….. Why would you do that? Why invest in crypto? It’s speculative….. I say fuck you it’s my money. Or in more laments turns, I am only invest whatever feels comfortable to ME. Not a penny more. So let’s get to the fucking story already.
Plus it’s plenty of rappers investing in crypto right now like; Future, DJ Khalid, and a rapper who is all about his business Nipsey Hussle. Who went to a city in Amsterdam that is cryto friendly. Crazy…
But back to the story. So hear I am 11 PM thinking to myself, “I’m bout to take a chance. I’m about to invest in some crypto!”. But as I started my journey I realized this ain’t Kansas. I actually my have to do some research first (Below I’ll give some good tools I used for leaning about cryptocurrency). Knowing the cryptocurrency landscape can be overwhelming but luckily I found a few good sources to help me make an educated guess. Remember on a scantron guess ‘B’. I started learning about crypto by reading a couple blogs, watching a few YouTube videos, and signing up for a every crypto website I could find. I wouldn’t recommend this tho. It was while doing this research that I quickly realized that buying crytocurrency ain’t as easy as buying something on Amazon. If I wanted to buy crytocurrency mainly RippleX it was going to take more time, more websites, and more passwords. Something to be aware of is that the words cryptocurrency and security go hand-and-hand. You might want a cold wallet, a paper wallet, or you might just say fuck it and leave the crypto on the exchange. (Which all sites advice against because of the security risk and the fact that if that exchange site shuts down that more than likely you will be SHIT OUT OF COINS). Thank GOD I had Kendrick Lamar playing in the background cause it was 12:30 AM and this shit was getting to me. But I just had to remember that “IMA MAKE IT LOOK SEXY”.

One blog that I really like that gives step-by-step tutorials and also does great at doing reviews is the blog “99bitcoins” started by Ofir Beigel, who holds the title General Manager. (Read more: About 99 Bitcoins — a non technical Bitcoin Blog for Newbies | 99Bitcoins). The blog is both straight forward and also dives into the details, so as a topic or new crytocurrency/technology grows so does the depth of the information.

When I’m looking for more of a visual way to learn about crytocurrency I turn to YouTube and watch SilverSlayer. He gives good tutorials and has one of the top watched videos on YouTube about buying cryptocurrency. He also does a good job about giving advice and talking about what the market is doing whenever there is something new going on in the crytocurency world. For example the BitCoin Futures that started on 12/12. drove down the price for less than a day. Then coins like LiteCoin exploded.
Additionally other resources I use are from the internet such as Medium which has a lot of articles about Cryto. And since the crypto market is built off speculation this is a good way to see just how much speculation is going on at any particular day.
So by the time I had done all this research. Damn if it isn’t 2:00 AM. And DAMN. by Kendrick Lamar is playing. The irony!! And PRIDE is playing, so you know I got too much pride to let this go. I start clicking and signing up for sites like crazy not knowing what all of this means. Then all of a sudden it clicked. I figured out how to do it. Here’s MY Steps below.
So there you have it. It’s now 2:30 AM and my CoinBase transaction hasn’t gone thru….. Then 5 minutes later I get a confirmation email, but this is only a confirmation for the transaction from my bank account to CoinBase. There was still the transaction from the CoinBase site to Binance. WTF!!! Fuck this I’m going to sleep. I guess that ‘s about the time Fear. came on, Cause I’m praying this transaction goes thru.
It’s 8:00 AM STILL NO CONFIRMATION!!! WTF x2. I gotta go to work. Then while at work around 8:45 AM while my manager was talking to me. I don’t give a fuck about work at this point. Everything he saying is sounding like Charlie Brown’s teacher. Then Mid-sentence Duckworth. starts playing in the background and I get an email that the transaction has went thru. FUCKING FINALLY!!! I get on Binance and convert my BitCoin to RippleX. But will it ever be worth it???? I know that’s what your thinking. Who knows??? But until then BE HUMBLE. BITCH SIT DOWN. I’ll tell you how it goes.
