Right now we stay at the complitely important mark - 9000$. I can't predict exactly what will happen in the near future, but there are 3 possible scenario of further developing of the situation.
Continuation of the uptrend. Bitcoin will break through 10k$ and move to another resistance level at 10800$. At the moment when btc will break 10k$, all altcoins will fall for 3-5%, may be even more. It will be the best time for buying altcoins at the dip. And now we are slightly moving to the second option.
Bear's trap. Bitcoin will cross 10000$, then fastly go to 10200-10300$, and then rapidly fall with huge red candle. This is the worst scenario for altcoins: firstly they will fall because of the btc growth, then fall because of the btc fall.
A fall down. Bitcoin won't find enough power for breaking through 10000$ and fall to the support level at 9500-9700$. This is the best scenario for altcoins, they will grow.
So, what do we have? The optimal strategy now is to keep the biggest part of your deposit in BTC. Leave only altcoins for long-term holding and altcoins which were listed on exchanges recently. And once again - I can't predict which scenario we will see.
