This is very concerning. I read @jerrybanfield post yesterday and started looking into it. Since then I tried transferring 2 coins out of Poloniex to Bittrex. A Ripple transferred went ok in a couple of minutes. My siacoin transfer was not successful, even though the transfer says complete on the Polo side, nothing shows up on the Bittrex wallet yet. Still waiting for support to reply back.
My big concern is that if a big exchange like Polo goes belly up, it will crater confidence in the overall crypto market. If everyone moves their coin to Bittrex, is that going to be any better.
You can't have confidence in the ecosystem if you can't even trust the infrastructure that holds your coins.
Is there another safe, stable options besides Bittrex? Not sure if your experience @thecryptofiend is any better with Bittrex and their support.
I am fairly new to crypto investing and I have to say I am surprised by these infrastructure issues that are being raised.
