For those that are watching the crypto credit card/debit card space, this is the news you have been waiting for.
A user from Reddit, Marksiam, overhead conversations that a card issuer in Europe, Wirecard, had partnered up with a new cryptocurrency startup.
CONFIRMED! So I was at a fintech event in Munich and I overheard a discussion about Wirecard partnering with a "crypto startup" that had recently completed 80m USD ICO. I am pretty much 100% certain it's TenX. Is this confirmed? ~ Marksiam
Dr Julian Hosp was quick to respond and confirm that the rumours were true. Probably not the way they wanted to announce it but was roughly around their expected timeframe.
Since our announcement was coming anyways, I can confirm it. It will allow us to get the cards worldwide. As soon as we have an exact timeline from their side, we will release it. Atm it is beyond our control. Exciting times! ~ DrJulianHosp
The timeline for the roll out and distribution of the cards is still quite long and roll out is slowly increasing with time, so don't expect to see these cards globally just yet.
There are however plenty of happy users in various countries where their current card issuer, Wavecrest, have distributed cards already.
