Intellisys bolsters board with addition of one of the original founders of Ethereum
GRAND CAYMAN, Cayman Islands — Mainstreet Investment, a Cayman Islands-based exempt limited partnership, is pleased to announce an agreement with Jaxx, a provider of digital currency wallet services, has been signed. The agreement includes wallet integration and Anthony Di Iorio, Jaxx founder and CEO and Ethereum co-founder, joining on as an advisor to Intellisys, the general partner of Mainstreet Investment.
“We are very excited that Anthony will join our board of advisors. As one of the original founders of Ethereum, Anthony brings a wealth of experience in blockchain, but an even greater business acumen as we prepare to manage the very first liquid private equity fund on the blockchain,” said Jason Granger, chief executive officer of Intellisys Capital. “Mainstreet is at the forefront of a new frontier to provide liquid investments in private equity that will help to push blockchain technology forward.”
The Mainstreet Investment Token goes on sale Feb. 27, with 50 million available for purchase. Proceeds from the sale will fund the acquisition of U.S. middle-market companies. The sale will run through April 26, or until all tokens have been sold and is capped at US$25 million, with a 10 percent holdback for additional investment and working capital needs on existing investments.
“With Jaxx, you’ll be able to use your ethereum address and receive Mainstreet tokens,” said Di Iorio. “We’re very excited to be working with Mainstreet.”
The sale will occur on Mainstreet’s website with the help of Trulioo, a Vancouver, B.C.-based provider of identity confirmation software, to ensure that information provided by investors complies with Anti-Money Laundering and Know-Your-Customer requirements.
Along with listing the token, BlockTrades International Inc. will be providing help with processing of the sale, allowing participants to take part in the token offering using well more than two dozen accepted cryptocurrencies, in addition to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
The digital token will also trade on exchange C2Cx.

Cool for him. Wish he'd partnered with Steem rather than Eth, but that's just me. Eth has a bigger name so from a marketing stand point that makes more sense for him I suppose.

ETH has so many great features built into it. So many projects are gravitating towards them for those reasons. Everyone talks about how ETH has really been plagued with problems and nothing has been implemented into it yet for projects...... but I am not biased and open and always learning...
I see lots of projects implementing with Ether.
I decided one day to learn more about what is running Steemit here, and the co founder here @dan / @dantheman also founded #Bitshares as we know -- Dan is kinda a genius.
Those projects run on the Graphene blockchain tech, scales really really well and is basically Industrial tech from what I understand, partly why our block times and transactions are so fast on here.

Steem doesn't directly support creating tokens or assets. There has been talk over the months about creating side chains with smart contracts that would support something similar to what is done on ETH. So in time Steem may be a good platform for something like this, but not yet.

I don't know if you get time, but it might be cool if once in awhile those of you with more contact in the higher echelons put together a post about achievements, things to come, etc. Golos.io for example seems to be doing okay and that is running on this same tech. Steemit, Busy.org, and Golos.io are the only big things I know, and I realize Busy.org is just a different front end for the same blockchain as Steemit, but you guys have a wealth of knowledge and knowing what is in the works, and what COULD be done now might be inspiring people.

Good suggestion I will give that feedback. BTW, busy.org has plans to develop more to enhance the platform and user experience than just being another UI for the same blockchain (though it also is that). As I understand it they already have instant private messages between busy users for example, and there is more planned on the roadmap. I'm less familiar with the other projects personally.

Yeah I've seen the chat feature on busy.org. I login to it from time to time. I'm so used to steemit, I simply forget to most of the time.
I even helped the guys at busy a little bit months ago, and I'm glad they've gotten it to the point it is at. It is a slicker looking UI.

I reviewed and considered this post for downvoting due to reward concentration and promoting another product/platform more than Steem (IMO a good use for the promoted and/or decline rewards features). Honestly, I do not really look at that. I started this a few weeks ago, knowing I need to make some money dealing with my issues I am dealing with, hoping a bit here or there might come in. I think I looked a couple times to see, but I do not pay that close of attn to that.
I am torn because I have never monetized all my work or support or activism in the past..... but I am in a tough spot with the injuries as you know draining me.
I have bills to pay and was always hoping Crypto would really just be my retirement fund. I still cannot believe some days a car friggin ran me over and my file is politically being buried like this by the powers that be when I want off the grid.

I've heard a number of people talk about crypto being a retirement fund. Maybe, but that seems like wishful thinking to me. The best retirement system, IMO, is always being able to provide real value to other people in a way they are willing to pay for. I'm hopefully I'll never have to sell my business for that reason. As long as it provides value to others, it will still be valuable.
I hope you can find many practical ways to provide real value to others. Activism doesn't pay all that well.

Well, I took that time to go look at my wallets actually. LOL
If you look at the bottom picture I started including --- that is how I have been structuring things to do just that -- provide real value to people with my combined public policy work and experience along with land / real estate use and planning as a consultant.
Combining those things with all I have learned and been through is honestly something a lot of people just don't have access to on the regular.
Every day is a fight right now, trying to learn how to walk again and that is just the damage to the legs.

No family, and not likely, it has been a year and all the people I thought I could count on a bit for some real basics help or people I helped or fought for in this community--- have largely ignored me completely, it has been pretty disheartening.
