What is Potcoin?

With the states and federal law makers constantly battling to find common grounds, it’s unlikely we will ever completely legalize marijuana 100% in the near future .. in my opinion.

That said, I’m not a smoker, and never have smoked marijuana, but you can’t deny the medical benefits it has for many chronic illnesses.

In states where marijuana is legal, many businesses have started popping up. However, there are cases online of business owner scared to put there money in banks out of fear the government will seize their accounts at any time.

What’s the solution to that?

From the website, “What is Potcoin?”
PotCoin provides the underserved legal marijuana industry with a decentralized banking infrastructure and payment solution. Using PotCoins, industry members will realize significant cost savings, scalability, and unparalleled enterprise security.

So yes, I’m excited and will be investing in this coin as I believe the community can benefit from it and give business owners some comfort in knowing their money is safe.

Just keep your eye out for the sign!

Yes. I love seeing altcoins in use. Are you investing in Potcoin?

No

I dont mean to crash the party but i have an important question. Can you perhaps enlighten us as to why the THC-industry should use potcoin and not say cannabiscoin or weedcoin or any other cryptocurrencies to settle payments and that can give the same security? What sets potcoin aside from the rest of the cryptocurrencies and why would the industry have a bigger benefit in using potcoins instead of say tenx, metal or even diamond coins?

Honestly, I'm no educated enough on the other coins to offer an honest comparison. Do you have a preference?

All I am saying is , I cannot see why the industry should use a fork of bitcoin (all altcoins are forks of bitcoin) which doesn't give clear and distinct advantage over the original. That said, there are many altcoins that are clearly better than bitcoin with regards to speed of transaction, costs of transferring money etc. Almost any coin is better in that regard. Im stealing your post now but check out Diamond coins for instance. It gives you clear advantages over bitcoin. Why use potcoins? or cannabis coins? If i was running a serious hemp planting business, i would use altcoins with more serious names, more established brands and a longer track record so that the currency would hold value. Food for thought.

There is still a large percentage of people that are not familiar with Bitcoin and how it's used.

Potcoin and industry specific coins are a way to bring cryptocurrencies to market.

I think it's a great idea, but can be confusing with all the different coins for sure!!

How about the smoke powered by smoke.network.

I'm sure there are many cryptocurrencies that would work. It's like debating which Visa card is the best. They all work.

Agree with you.
