Binance Hacker Bounty

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

To ensure a safe crypto community, we can’t simply play defense. We need to actively prevent any instances of hacking before they occur, as well as follow through after-the-fact. Even though the hacking attempt against Binance on March 7th was not successful, it was clear it was a large-scale, organized effort. This needs to be addressed.

Binance is offering a $250,000 USD equivalent bounty to anyone who supplies information that leads to the legal arrest of the hackers involved in the attempted hacking incident on Binance on March 7th, 2018.

  1. The first person to supply substantial information and evidence that leads to the legal arrest of the hackers, in any jurisdiction, will receive the equivalent of $250,000 USD in BNB. The exchange rate will be determined at time of transfer.
  2. Please supply detailed information to [email protected] as well as to your local law enforcement agencies.
  3. If your local laws allow, you may remain anonymous.
  4. If multiple sources/segments of data are used to lead to the final legal arrests, the bounty may be split between sources. Binance reserves all rights to split the bounty amount, solely at our discretion.

Furthermore, Binance has currently allocated the equivalent of $10,000,000 USD in crypto reserves for future bounty awards against any illegal hacking attempts on Binance. We have also invited other exchanges and crypto businesses to join our initiative. We welcome their participation at any time.

Protecting your funds is and has always been our highest priority!

We thank you for your support!

That is an amazing amount of money to place a bounty. I wish I had the technical know-how to track the criminals down. Seems like leads should be given about the 31 accounts that the criminals were using. This could help get the bounty hunters started.

This is the most ethical way of doing business and our trust has grown really manifold now. Hats off to your efforts.

Great initiative by Binance, this will definitely boost my confidence in this exchange who is putting extra efforts in securing the whole exchange and giving so much importance for protecting our crypto funds.

good initiative.

You just proved again @binanceexchange that you're the #1 centralized exchange. Good work!

I didn't expected that, I wish you good luck in finding the hacker and I really hope you will find him (them). This initiative ensures your customers that their money are on good hands and that they can trade without any worries on Binance.

@binanceexchange

Have you thought about adding SBD for trading? This would be amazing and super useful for a lot of users here on STEEM but also on your exchange.

Binance continue to impress, hopefully other exchanges take notice.

Most excellent...

I like your post

I think this is a very good idea are you also doing a bug bounty?

awesome move!!! I support this fully!

wow, impressive. A good initiative.

That's a great initiative that will serve to make future hackers think twice about targeting Binance. Hopefully, this deterrence measure will work and be adopted by other exchanges as well.

Wanted badass. They seem to be hiring now, haha

Great news! Hope you catch them!
