According to Blockchain Company Analysis Elliptic, Ukraine has posted an appeal on social media for donations in Bitcoins and other digital tokens. After posting the appeal, they raised $8 million in Cryptocurrencies.
Ukraine has made the request from its official Twitter account last Saturday. They made the appeal on account of the Country’s invasion by Russia. Wallet addresses for tokens have been posted including bitcoin and ether.
Vice-Prime Minister cum minister of digital transformation Mykhailo Fedorov tweeted the wallet addresses. Fedorov wrote, “Stand with the people of Ukraine. Now accepting cryptocurrency donations.”
On Sunday, Russia’s military vehicles were being pushed into Ukraine’s second-largest city Kharkiv. On the fourth day of fighting, rocked oil and gas installations were exploded. This is the biggest assault on a European country since World War II.
