Japan. Korea. China. America.
What do all of these countries (and countless more) have in common? Ethereum killers. Ever since the inception of Ethereum, projects have tried to dethrone it as the smart contract and DAPP king. Some examples of the top projects are EOS, Cardano, Tron, NEO, Icon, Neblio, NULS, NEM, Stellar (tokens can be made on their platform), and many others.
Much like the early internet, there are many projects which are trying to be the next Google. Only one of these projects will succeed, and with the influx of infrastructure platforms in the crypto marketplace, there seems to be a supersaturation in this space. Why not focus on a new space instead of trying to reinvent the wheel? The top ETH killers right now all have a similar set of features: Fast tx times, low fees, and multiple coding languages. We can all agree not every single infrastructure platform will survive. Most likely, less than 3 coins will be the go-to for infrastructure needs. I know this is by no means an in-depth look into each coin, because I don't want it to be. I simply want to bring awareness to the insane amount of coins with the same purpose and hope to help the community narrow down their picks to a few of the best.
TL;DR There is an influx of infrastructure platforms all with the same sets of features. Only a few will survive and the rest are destined to fail, much like early search engines.
