Are you helping a hacker mine cryptocurrencies? According to a British security firm, Sophos, there are at least 19 Google Play Apps that are being used by hackers to mine the cryptocurrency Monero. Using the apps built in browser and embedded CoinHive-based miners, hackers are able to generate Monero without the users knowledge. The only obvious sign could be a slower than normal or overheating smartphone.
