If you have parents or family members who are from the Baby Boomer Generation and they watch the news, they might have heard the term digital money or cryptocurrency.
Well, Mom and Dad, remember when the Internet got started? Well, it’s basically that all over again - just with money.
Wait — fake money? Digital money? Where does it exist? The first thing to remember, is that there are many places to learn about the underlying technology, and it’s important you do your research before diving in.
The way that I see it, what you are really investing in, is blockchain, and the technology behind it. My Father who was an electrician for 40 years has no idea what the blockchain is, but let me explain it to you.
Think of the blockchain as a digital accountant. It’s like FreshBooks, in that in manages itself, as long as everyone logs their cryptocurrency activities with their keys.
So are you rich yet? asks my Mother. Well Mom, no. I could have been. I bought one Bitcoin at $500 and sold it for $1,000, but that was years ago. It’s currently at $19,000. I did not know better at the time, but the cryptocurrency space was also very new and not as popular as it is now.
So how much money have you made? asks my Father. Well since June I have 7x my initial investment at the current cryptocurrency price of BTC/LTC/ETH. Since then, everyone wants in. My parents, in-laws, and friends all want in.
You’ve got a little money, but how can you get involved? The returns at this point are great, that even with small investments, you can make great returns. Even in a volatile market that is up and down 24/7/365.
The volatile market is not for everyone. Not everyone has the hard stomach for a price that is always in flux.
Is this the future of money? I think it is, enough to invest in it. I think the technology will grow even more in 2018 — this is not just a fad and cannot be ignored.
Is it something that you should dump your life savings into? No, but if you have spare money. Sure!
Here is how easy it is to invest into cryptocurrency for that special someone this holiday season:
Join Coinbase: Consider this your bank to hold your funds: This is where you can deposit and withdraw your cryptocurrency: The process to sign up is fairly easy: https://www.coinbase.com/join/515c925ce48d686cfc000044
If you want my personal advice on trading tweet me @craigcaruso or @carusoapps and we can set up sometime to chat. I charge a small fee for consulting.
Use Coinflash: Coinflash is a web app (soon to be iPhone) that rounds up your spare change and invests it into Bitcoin and/or Ethereum. Louis Lapat killed it with this website/app! https://coinflashapp.com/?cfref=1846a55
