Blockchain Technology Integration

The CVZ currency is integrated with the NEM network/blockchain. The NEM network emphasizes security and trust-less computing. NEM blockchain is supported through the consensus mechanism known as Proof-of-Importance (POI). The POI consensus is similar to Proof-of-Stake (POS) with the distinguished difference being that it integrates a node’s (participant within the network) reputation, or importance, in determining its overall superiority within the network; while POS derives importance from the user’s account balance. POI also has an advantage over Proof-of-work (POW), another popular protocol, in that POI does not require large scale computing resources for maintaining the blockchain.
