I'd say that ICO's and blockchain brought long awaited marked correction.

Startups with all those angel investors monopolized innovation so ICO's are the answer to that in a way that ordinary citizen can invest and decide what project goes ant what project is no go.

Now not only rich people can decide what project is funded, but ordinary housewife can be part of it.

And ordinary housewife has totally different worldview and daily problems than rich investors do.
