EchoLink -- New Cryptocurrency taking on Job MarketsteemCreated with Sketch.

Apparently, some serious concern exists in the job market; namely, would-be candidates are willing to “fake it, till they make it”. That’s right, lying to the world about everything under the sun, such as degrees, schools, past work experience and the like. Wow, fakers — tryin for theirs!

Wait, as we are so fond of hearing these days: Blockchain to the rescue. That’s right, a new cryptocurrency has been launched to solve this problem, promising much transparency and amazement — both for users and investors. Perhaps, you’ve heard of it — EchoLink.

EchoLink…Pardon the echo, EchoLink is “aimed at providing real transparency for the job market,” according to Vicky Lova’s new piece in the Cointelegraph. She states further “EchoLink verifies a job candidate’s education, skills and work experience, saving time to recruiters.” Makes sense to me.

Lova also points out that the project was recently founded by Steve Chen, the Co-lead at the Berkley Blockchain Lab. Nice, really nice credentials — not sure if the’ve passed blockchain screening yet, but we’ll have to wait and see. Nice project too. No need to let fakers get ahead, as the current job market is too tough for that.

And given the deep, roughly 45 day correction we are seeing in the crypto market at large, the price can barely get up off the floor, and is down a serious percentage today, making this an especially nice entry level for those interested.

Not providing financial advice here, just pointing out a nice project with credentials at a nice price. Check out the website for more information, such as more about EchoLink “teaming up” with NEO and Ontology Network.

Check out the piece by Vicky Lova, which details issues such as ‘diploma mills’ and a great anecdotal reference of David Geffen’s start in the entertainment business. Yes, he fudged a bit on his creds to get in on the ground floor. I’m pretty sure he would have become a billionaire, even if blockchain would have checked him at the door.
