Will I invest - Yes. As much as I disagree with another split, I can definitely see a bull run within the first few days; until it will more than likely level out. Keep in mind, this will ultimately depend on adoption. If its unprofitable, miners won't support the network. Also, price is speculative. In my opinion, invest in Bitcoin as you would and just take your free coins when they come. Bitcoin will prosper, Gold will end up as another alt just like Cash.
As for how much to invest. Well that is on you. I can only recommend that you never ever ever play with your bread money. "Know what you own, and know why you own it." - Peter Lynch

Ye I guess you are right. How exactly does that work though whatever bitcoin you own they will give you the same vale in Bitcoin Gold? Would it not be better to buy each bitcoin gold token as it lands at whatever value and hold for a month or two? Thoughts on that? Also regarding bitcoin lets say you own 0.0043 bitcoin does that mean you will get that value too in Gold Coin? Cheer$;)

To use an imperfect analogy, you could think of the fork as a spinoff. Example being, for most of PayPal’s life, it was owned by eBay. Every EBAY holder owned the parent company eBay, which encompassed eBay and PayPal. On the day of the spinoff, eBay stockholders received one PYPL share per EBAY share. At the same time, they got to keep their existing EBAY shares. In the simplest terms you could look at the fork like that.
By all means you could just wait and see what happens with Gold and buy in when it hits the market. Though if you go back and look at the bitcoin YTD chart. You can see that in that first couple weeks all Cash did was fall. Until there was a large spike (manipulated or genuine adoption?) and then it crashed. It did end up going up again but has been on a steady decline since.
In the end it comes down to what you believe is the real Bitcoin? Is it Cash? Will it be Gold? Only time will tell. Until then I'll buy and HODL my BTC, along with some other alts of course.

Ye thanks mate and agreed .. I guess as long as you invest in the majors and buy the dips and hang on till they recover it ain't a get rich quick scheme. More a long term tangible investment.

Its definitely the safer bet if you want to diversify your portfolio. We always want to find the next Bitcoin or Ether. Unspeakable gains. At the same time I've seen a lot of top 10 coins over the years completely fail . As long as you do your research and don't play with money you cant afford to lose . In my opinion there's only one way we are going from here.
p.s. Get your ticket ready.
