"Being paid to do what we love to do is surely everyone’s wish! And that is certainly true in the sports world, whether your sport is soccer, tennis, golf or video gaming!" - Play2Live

Now that e-sports are getting so much attention and continuously gaining such trust outside the gaming community itself, a lot of crypto-based streaming projects pop-out. Many of them offers the same features that a top streaming site—Twitch—has. Then lately, a new crypto-based project—Play2Live—appeared, a decentralized streaming platform inside blockchain technology.

Play2Live once launced a crowdfunding event—successfully completed and raised a hard cap of $30 million that is probably enough to sustain the means. According to the team, the main product or at least their beta will be released on August and hoping to get their expected number of streamers.

They've also got their own token inside the platform just like Twitch—Bit—has. But unlike Bit, Play2Live token—LUC—has both utility and intrinsic value, and it can also be traded in an exchange for other cryptocurrency just like Bitcoin and Ether or on a fiat currency, either on the Play2Live exchange gateway or on public exchanges. Isn't that great?

Play2Live Streamers will have 11 revenue options  according to their whitepaper:

Play2Live is a unique platform, and actually different from the current top platforms like Twitch and YouTube. This is because it is a blockchain-based platform and offers monetization options not possible on traditional sites. It is also different because of the way it has been conceptualized as a single ecosystem offering a full suite of services.

"Play2Live will be a general sponsor of the Counter-Strike World Championship with qualifiers taking place on all continents. In total, 16 high-grade teams will visit the event in Europe. Play2Live has acquired exclusive broadcasting rights to stream this tournament on p2l.tv in 8 languages. The broadcast of the tournament is scheduled on August when the beta version of the platform becomes available. More details in regard to the championship and development process of the platform will be announced in the following weeks. This tournament will be the first in a series of broadcasts with exclusive broadcasting rights possessed by Play2Live," comments Alexey Burdyko, CEO and Founder of Play2Live at Silver Mercury, a conference devoted to marketing and communications taking place in Moscow.

Now that Play2Live have the rights on an upcoming tournament, a lot of community members expecting more in the future, like The International of DOTA 2, one of the most viewed e-sports tournament every year since 2001.
