Roger Ver is another individual who has made history by stepping into the revolutionary world of cryptocurrencies. Everyone has a past. Roger Ver was also having a not so good past because of a silly mistake, which he made by selling explosives online. He started selling firecrackers online, which was tagged as offensive by the defense ministry. He had to spend 10 months in prison due to this mistake.
But, after getting released from jail, he started investing in cryptocurrencies and launched many ventures related to this industry. He talks about the future incomings and possibilities of cryptocurrencies very openly. He is the man who is behind many cryptocurrency startups like Ripple, Blockchain, Bitpay, Kraken etc.

In 2009, Kristoffer Kroch was a student who was working on his thesis regarding cryptocurrencies. During his thesis, he came to know about the benefits of cryptocurrencies and hence invested in one. At that time, he purchased 5000 Bitcoins at a price of $26. For a year he used to evaluate the prices, but failed to notice any reasonable change, which resulted him in eventually losing interest in his investment altogether. However, in 2013, he heard about the rapid increase in Bitcoin price again and then recalled on his investment. He tried to reach his wallet, but he did not remember his password. Luckily, after few tries, he fetched his password and accessed his account. He was shocked to find out that his initial investment comprising $26 was grown to a phenomenal $85,000. He rushed to sell his Bitcoins. If he had patiently waited for some time, he could have earned more than 1 million dollars against those 5000 Bitcoins.
