Hi Steemit. I made our introductory post a few days ago, but wanted to introduce myself personally to the community. I'm the CEO of CryptoMillionsLotto and we've built a platform that enables users to play a cryptocurrency-based lottery.

My background

After leaving university with a degree in Economics, I went straight to the City of London. For fourteen years I traded options on government bond futures as principal, on the floor of London International Financial Futures Exchange (LIFFE). When the exchange floor closed down in 2000, I traded off-floor on multiple futures exchanges, again as principal.

I then set up a company to develop a stock market app for BlackBerry that broke download records. I signed up a number of global mobile network operators ranging from Sprint in Kansas to CSL in Hong Kong, before successfully floating the company on the German stock market.

My next venture was to develop a lotto-style mobile game based on the performance of stock market prices for the world's largest brands. After development, we sold the license and later the IP to an operator in South America.

I then embarked upon introducing a new online lotto business, AfroMillionsLotto, after seeing huge potential in this sector in markets where jackpots weren’t large and certainly not life changing. Through the AfroMillionsLotto brand, we now operate 30 lottos on behalf of professional soccer clubs and charities in Africa. The operator floated in late 2015 and saw a strong rally during 2016 -18 with stock closing nearly 250% up from its floatation price.

Why are you qualified to lead this company?

With my experience with AfroMillionsLotto, CryptoMillionsLotto is a timely, natural and logical extension. Crypto and blockchain combined are perfectly placed to disrupt a highly fragmented and outdated market dominated by governments and a whole host of vested interests in the payments processing ecosystem.

What's the 30 second explanation?

We are marketing our ICO to raise funds, 98% of which will be used to market CryptoMillionsLotto globally. The platform already exists and minimal changes are being made to equip it to handle cryptocurrencies and blockchain transactions.

We have built a considerable community all of whom we hope will play CryptoMillionsLotto. Right now, we’re engaging with investors interested in Security tokens, attending events and building awareness in our ICO.

Our borderless lotto, when launched, will allow players worldwide to play for life-changing jackpots, much higher than their local lotteries, using a seamless and cost effective payments system of wallet-to-wallet transaction that eliminate expensive middlemen.

Why did you choose to start this project?

After our experience with AfroMillionsLotto together with the huge surge in the number of crypto participants, I became convinced that a new crypto lottery would be a logical next step. I see it as an unprecedented opportunity, using cryptocurrency and blockchain to revolutionize an industry in need of change; and using lotto, which is widely understood and universally played as the perfect instrument to popularize crypto and foster mass adoption. An ICO was an obvious way to fund the opportunity.

Why do you think it is such a powerful idea?

Crypto and lotto are a perfect match. Crypto still hasn’t reached the masses, and lotto is a great way to encourage adoption.

It helps that:

  • Our platform is already built
  • We already own a crypto gambling license
  • We already have jackpots insured at Lloyd’s of London
  • We have an exceptionally strong international team with vast experience in gaming, payments and crypto
  • Our token offering is filed with the SEC in the US and accepted to trade on a crypt exchange after the ICO
  • How can people find out more about 1. The ICO 2. you & your work?
  • Information on myself and my Team, and the ICO, are set out on our website at www.cryptomillionslotto.com and in our Whitepaper and Private Placement Memorandum.

Other important stuff

Our ICO is not only offering an SEC compliant Security token, but investors in our tokens will also receive free publicly listed shares in our Parent company, giving them a direct stake in our other lotto businesses. Investors will have the opportunity to generate returns from capital appreciation of the token and shares and also receive dividends from both. This sets us apart from the vast majority of Utility token ICOs.

Why base the result on a government lottery when you could have a provably fair lottery based on Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Bitcoin Cash blockchain? On the surface it seems like a way to keep the lottery centralized.
