Komodo is launching its decentralized ICO platform, which guarantees investor privacy. It seems to be going slightly under the radar currently, that Monaize dICO is going to take place on November 10th.
Komodo had a timer ticking down on their website for a ‘HUGE ANNOUCEMENT’ a while back, and Komodo pumped to $4.03 (sept 8th 2017) .However when the live stream went up, the way the information was delivered, about the partnership with Monaize, was a bit unprofessional to say the least. Shortly after the price crashed.
To quote someone in the chat “is this a multimillion dollar company, or three guys in the back of a noodle shop?”
That’s the whole vibe the announcement had. Which made me chuckle, sometimes its nice to not take life so seriously.
Don’t shoot me Komodo investors, I actually think the teams passion/integrity came through, and most importantly the underlying tech was great!
First dICO on the Komodo platform Monaize
What is Monaize?
It’s an E-Banking platform that allows free lancers and small businesses to manage their finances on the go, through mobile banking. They aim to avoid the traditional long, frustrating and non-personalized approach big banks offer today.
So why Komodo?
Entry into blockchain techonology. Komodo is unique in that it offers full privacy protection, through Z cash which uses zero-knowledge-cryptography, combined with Komodo’s JUMBLR technology. The main tag line of this endeavor is “banking meets block chain”, which up until now remains unbroken.
My Thoughts
Monaize is a working product that already exists, has a mobile app, that has KYC/KYB (know your customer/business) . Monaize has great partnerships with Mastercard, Bitpay and now Komodo (banking meets blockchain). Monaize will be first dICO, and it will utilize atomic swaps, which means no more waiting around weeks for your tokens to arrive. Monaize wishes to bank the unbanked, so I see huge potential in this project moving forward.
