History is a great teacher, learn from it.

Every January for the past 4 years, we have seen a major correction in the cryptocurrency market. Many believe and speculate that it is the Chinese New Year Tradition of gift giving. It is a great Chinese tradition where money is taken out from the banks and crypto and put in red and gold envelope, and then given as a gift to their love ones wishing them, luck fortune and prosperity.

Can this tradition coupled with weak hands be the cause of the annual yearly dip during the month of January. As you can see below, the exact same thing happened in January 2017, 2016 and 2015, the entire market corrected by approximately -36%. Can this great Chinese tradition of gift giving be the cause panic selling? Who knows how many people panicked, got weak handed and sold their coins back then thinking they're making the smart move.

Fast forward 1 year later, the market cap is 36x times bigger than it was at that time (from $15B to $550B). I think that those who panic sold back then would've been better if they held, don't you?

Bitcoin's Sharp Decline A Temporary Pullback

Yes, it a sharp decline that i think is not yet finish pulling back. I think we may see mid 8k and then a slow rise to 10k for a long consolidation period lasting until mid may. This ia just my opinion gathered from past historical data.
