Re-balanced My Crypto Portfolio, Bought Some New Altcoin Bags

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago

Recently, thanks to Cardano and VeChain, my portfolio has gone nuts (in a good way). So I decided to slightly re-balance my portfolio in some other crypto that hasn't pumped as much as everything else. Here's my updated portfolio, as well as some of my reasoning behind jumping into these cryptoassets.

This is a slight departure from the typical number of assets/bags that I hold, but with the way the market is currently pumping, I feel like I can afford to take a bit more risk here.

I really thought I had seen it all with the bitcoin pumps in 2017, but these moves in XRP, NEO and the other alts are something to behold.

If this volatility continues throughout 2018, I can't even imaging where we'll be in a few years. I have a feeling the tech bubble in 90's is going to look like a cheap penny stock P&D compared to the growth of the crypto space.

The crash of the alts will also be epic, there's no way we sustain this kind of growth for a full month or two.

The alt crash will be nuts, but everytime you think it can't run up further, it does.. So this should be interesting to see how long it ends up running for and how severe the crash it

I agree but the approach you have deployed is very fundamental risk management (take profits, get investment back and diversify). It keeps you into the market to not miss opportunities but lets you enjoy some success for the eventual volatility. I think there will be a "flight to quality" where investors will come back to the leaders as they realize they are the key for the whole space to succeed.

You must have had a FAT sack of cardano!

There are definitely tons of people who are only looking at the price. This serves as both a good and bad thing, these coins will likely continue to pump.

I think something like XRP or XLM will probably create the first trillionaires, just given there are a massive amount of uncirculated premined coins that someone must be holding.

Keep up the good work bobby!

I appreciate the insights in your portfolio. Especially for coins like aelf, which I didn't saw before. I'll take a closer look the next days.

Imho it was a smart move to switch (I believe a pretty big part of) ADA. I would've excepted you switch more into BTC, but your argument that you can take more risk on smaller Coins after those gains is right and about 25% BTC seems enough. I currently switched a bit more Alts into BTC, lets see if it works out and it can climb back to 50%.

Cheers

Ever since I started listening to @cryptobobby's videos on a daily basis I can't get cryptos out of my mind. Like earlier today I went for a walk along the beach and was enjoying the sound of the waves (WAVES) against the shore and the smell of the salt (SALT) in the air, but sadly I couldn't enjoy it for too long as a major storm (STORM) was quickly approaching. As it started to rain, I found myself staring deeply into a puddle that was forming and was weirdly hypnotized by the ripple's (XPR) the rain was causing, and at that moment started to rethink my life. With this in mind I quickly dash (DASH) home to look into cryptos even more after this new found understanding that we may very well be on the verge (XVG) of mass crypto adoption became perfectly clear in my minds eye. It was like a switch went off in my head and these weird intangible items were no longer an enigma (ENG) to me, and it was only a matter of time before the rest of the populous (PPT) also came to this realization as well. I always knew that my standard 9-5 job would hardly put a dent (DENT) in my mortgage and if I wanted to live a happy life and leave something for my next of kin (KIN) I would need something more, and thanks to people like Bobby I may have found my chance in the cyrpto space. Bobby does what he does because he is passionate about it and he isn't doing it just to be a trendy status (SNT) symbol like many others are.

Basically Cryptobobby is one of the best in the space, and that's a factom (FCT)!

Its Very important to review and rebalance your portfolio on the regular.

Hi. Which wallet are you using for storing cryptos?.

really good video i like it <3 thanx for info

When looking at market cap and prices, I tend to look at the historical 24 hr volumes relative to the market cap. I feel this is a good indicator of not only open interest but also the utilization of the network.

I also share your nervousness given how far some of these assets have come. I like your risk management approach though. Consider using stop losses even trailing stop losses if they are available on the trading platform you use. This allows you to be more disciplined in your risk/reward approach. Only negative is that with the volatility and price swings, you can get stopped out pretty quick.

i don't really think that the alt-coins will ever crash i think that more coins like Petro will sostain ecosistem and all the grat ideas coming from allt coins plus the succsesful ico's that will rise ... well it's obviously umpredictable but for some reason i think it's keep momentum for a good while ¡¡ pura vida great insights from cardano great video oveall !!
