Ya that's right, I think there is a very good chance that ethereum will be bigger than bitcoin. Based on the recent crazy price fluctuations in the cryptocurrency market, the market cap difference between the two of them are getting closer and closer. Which could lead to an overthrow between the both of them (with hopefully ethereum on top).
Alright lets break this down!:
For starters, in the current market, it has become long obvious that the founder of bitcoin is no where to be found. While the team and people with ethereum are constantly coming up with new ways to beef up their currency. You can also build others currencies around ethereum, giving a even better price. Then one can also look at the two coins are not that far apart and it is way more likely then ever before. All ethereum needs is some major news, and something big to take it over the top. Below I have listed some different price points of which the change of power can occur (based on market cap).
What would be the price points based on market cap where ethereum would take over???
1. Scenario 1 (bitcoin tanks, while ethereum held stable)
Bitcoin price: 6000$
Ethereum price: 1100$
2. Scenario 2 (bitcoin skyrockets, but ethereum skyrockets even more)
Bitcoin price: 21,000$
Ethereum price: 3,600$
3. Scenario 3 (bitcoin stabilizes, while ethereum gradually makes its trip upwards)
Bitcoin price: 11,000$
Ethereum price: 2,000$
What ethereum being on top would mean:
Prices of altcoin generally go along with the price of bitcoin. Giving way for a domino effect in these currencies. Then if you think about it, if the gap between bitcoin and ethereum is breached and ethereum is on top, they would then follow ethereum. Furthermore, on the basis that ethereum is at, it is a much more stable coin, and has way more potential. Leading to a better wave of growth in the cryptocurrency market.
