I think it’s important to keep in mind that while crypto currencies provide a distinct advantage to the financial institutions in terms of solving a business problem, it also presents a tremendous threat in that their world is all about fiat currency. Replacing fiat would mean eventually replacing the way the industry operates and that could mean replacing many of the now comfortable old obsolete thinkers in it. It will change but it will be a slow process and the old thinkers will be brought along kicking and screaming and yes badmouthing along the way. But just like the internet, once the Jeannine is out of the bottle there is no other option but to embrace it or step aside.
