Facebook ban on bitcoin ads is the latest on bad news for cryptocurrencies, A slew of negative reports hit the cryptocurrency world Tuesday. Facebook announced its ban on ICO’s , Binary options and Cryptocurrency.. I think that is bad for ICO’s and Crypto specifically, but hey this is Crypto, we have overcame allot of negativity! What’s y’all thoughts on this is it bad for Crypto or no??

As long as Telegram is very much working, this news has little or no negative impact. In fact to an extent, it is good because many shitty ICOs and coins always use facebook as a major means of promotion in order to get newbies.

I agree that it will probably not influence the growth of crypto overall, but not caring about the news is not a smart thing to do. This is still Facebook we are talking about. In terms of reach, it is rivalled by no other service save for TV and is a giant economic powerhouse. Sure it won't stop the growth of crypto, but it will most definitely shunt its speed of growth. Maybe not by much, but still a respectable amount.
I myself only decided to finally take the plunge into crypto after a rogue video on XRP poped up on my Youtube feed.

I am not a qualified financial advisor or anything like that, but I am quite experienced with stocks and cryptos. I know quite good how market cycles go. Crypto is so young and volatile - stocks are way older. Take the chance and make profit - only if you know how to trade without emotion otherwise you can make losses (even though it is very hard to make losses because the whole market is extremely bullish).
I do not want crypto to go up too fast - I want it to gain value in a healthy way. Too much hype is not good.
However, I know what you mean and mostly agree with you.

Oh I know, I ran from XRP the moment I was able to. Still, I lost some value in it already anyway. I call it my "Paid Tutorial" cost. Those mistakes helped me learn (the hard way) how to properly do things.
Don't quite agree on ETH though, as I think it has a ton of utility already as is, and prefer it over BTC any day of the week.
P.S: Also, while I don't hold XRP as an investment, the utility it has for transactions is fantastic, and one of the better utilities I have seen and experienced in a crypto. If it became a proper top 3 with as many pairings as ETH I would use it for every tranfer I'd make.

I made profit with xrp but I knew that it is crap - if you compare it to btc, eth, dash... those three are the bosses.
Only a fool would not invest in eth. Will easily hit more than 2k$ this year - maybe even towards 5k$ or more if they do everything right with the updates.

While I agree there should be a more curated system for adverts in general on facebook, flat out removing one category o ad is not the way to go. I was server quite a few shifty Crypto ads, but I was also served a few actually useful ones. I believe this is more a matter of them needing curation on their ad serving structure that one of trying to protect users from possible scams.
In the end, I don't quite believe this will influence the growth of Crypto (or crash if you go by current event xD), but it would be an extra way to increase its reach, and bring in even more audience into this space. I myself wouldn't have got into it myself if not for a rogue video that poped up on my Youtube feed.
