Tron is a blockchain based platform that aims to develop a free, global digital entertainment system with a distributed storage technology. The platform allows easy and effective content sharing, where content creators are compensated for publishing their content, receiving funds directly from the consumers. It also allows users to access entertaining content everywhere in the world.

Tron's goal is to create a decentralized content entertainment ecosystem that allows each user to freely publish, store and own their data. Creators can turn their content into digital assets that are put into circulation on the Tron platform.

Tron operates under a Singapore based non-profit called the Tron Foundation.

Interesting facts:

• The idea behind Tron came from online gaming. Usually, free games are never completely free, if you want to play the full game, or have access to all of the tools and all of the levels. Normally, once you put money in a game you can't get it back out. Tron is looking to change that by making their coin a universal payment method for anything related to entertainment, be it online games, movies or songs.
• Tron already has many partnerships with companies like oBike, Game.com (to create Pet Planet), Peiwo, Global Social Chain (which has over 100M users), and Gifto/Uplive;
• Tron has an ambitious roadmap which spans until 2025. By that time, they aim to develop the platform to a point where users can create their own tokens, launch ICOs and create their own gaming or predictive markets.
