So I'm just going to give a quick update on the status and My future plans for my current master nodes.
So first off my list of MN's i've been experimenting with are Smartcash, Curium, Absoulte, Chaincoin, Advanced-Protocol, Sparks, Stone, Zen
Smartcash
info:
This Masternode pays out well, but fairly infrequent due to how many nodes there are and the structure. Current average pay out is about <166Smart with average frequency of 7-12 days. Brand new nodes, or restarted nodes have 20 day wait period. Nodes also qualify for the smart rewards monthly bonus so long as you dont move any funds. Next months estimated bonus % is 1.91%.
reasoning pro/con:
The team, structure, intelligence, talent and organization behind Smart is what makes it my favorite hold. They are so quick to reply to any support questions, or general questions. The voting structure and Infrastructure (telegram/ discord bots, steem it presence and well put together websites) are also a huge draw. Not to mention the monthly bonus is on par with the ANNUAL % of a bank CD... MONTHLY!
My personal opinion:
Long term holding and stacking my nodes and rewards forever.. currently also mining Smart as well but might soon stop to switch to Zen.
Curium
info:
This master node pays out 4 times a day so if you like to see constant progress, like i do, this one is fun. Especially when you get multiple nodes going paired with the large blocks rewards your computer will be dinging left and right with payments. It is still only 1000 CRU required for a MN until the future update at which point it will require 10K. Est 1- 3 months away for the update. Its hard to give an average on how many CRU each block reward is with the fluctuations and larger than normal rewards. It seemed like each nodes base pay out was about 4 CRU, 4 times every day.(16Cru per day).
reasoning pro/con:
Main dev is readily accessible via discord and diligently updating and working. The community is growing steady, and so has the support. I like getting the reward in the frequency of 4 times per day because its fun to see quick and steady growth.
My personal opinion:
Stacking MN's as many as I can until the masternode requirements switch to 10K, then consolidating my nodes (saving me money) and reassessing my strategy. Holding a few long term
Absolute
info:
This node pays out an average of 24 ABS with an average frequency of one payment per day. A note there is currently two discord channels out there, make sure you're in the correct one.. I was stuck in the other one until this week!
reasoning pro/con:
To me this kind of plays the middle ground between Curium and Smart cash as far as the payout frequency. They have an active discord with projects, updates, listings, votes, and interactive bots. With 24abs per day and only 1000 required for a masternode I should be able to double down quickly! so far it looks like ABS has a smaller community, but I see that as a positive... I like getting into things in the earlier days and I think it has potential to keep growing.
My personal opinion:
Going to stack at least a good few of these for long term holds before reassessing how I will proceed.
Advance Protocol
info:
This node pays out an average of 2.8ADV with an average frequency of 5 payouts per day.(14ADV perday).
reasoning pro/con:
On the fence on this one. The lower rewards than the other nodes deters me from doubling down quickly. The community is still very small but they do seem to be active every day. I've got to say Im not a fan of their logo, and I'm not sold on the entire premise either.
My personal opinion:
Eh.. Im not sure what ill do. I will wait until doubling before deciding my next move on doubling down, shutting down or selling.
Chaincoin
info:
This node is broken. Payouts are an average of 1.8 Chc and the frequency is rare.
reasoning pro/con:
taking down the node as it is broken, but I will be holding the coins in hopes that the issue is resolved. The team does seem to be actively trying to fix this issue and I have faith enough to hold the coins but its not rewarding to hold the node.
My personal opinion:
I'm gunna be a fair weather fan and put the node on the sidelines until the payout issue is fixed.
Sparks
info:
It seems like the dev may have left this project and ownership may be branching off.. They have two discords now, the new one is active and seems like it has the potential to go forward. I haven't even started this node up so I cant give stats.
reasoning pro/con:
new owner ship seems to be legit
My personal opinion:
Sitting on the sidelines until they sort it out. I like that they somehow got listed on coinmarket cap.
Zen
info:
I don't have a node yet but this one interests me as a zen holder/miner. They recently increased the node block rewards from 3.5% to 10%. Only 42 Zen are required for a node.
reasoning pro/con:
Zen is a good mining coin. They have a strong community and the new white paper is great. They also seem to be fairly stable, price wise, even in the recent volatility.
My personal opinion:
When I finally decide to pull the plug on my Smartcash mining, I will be switching to ZEN to get the remainder ZEN needed for Node.
Let me know what you guys think below
or if I muffed anything up!

#smartcash has realy drawn my attention with all the features, support and incredably informative website. I am hoping to get my 1000 SMART full by just earning them rather than buying. Someday I too hope to add to the "NODE" part of things.

Its great they cater to the little guy and have opportunity to stack and grow over time. the different tiers of rewards give clear goals. Its like upgrading your resource harvesters in video game.. I love it
