EOS might be about to see some movement - appearances at conferences

in cryptocurrency •  7 years ago  (edited)

Haven't been on here in ages so apologies to any people following my blog. I hope to be back to regular posting soon, but wanted to quickly give everyone a heads up on some upcoming EOS appearances at conferences as these are mainly around the Asia-Pacific and Europe which could lead to some important interest and growth.

If you're holding for next year's planned release, there's no harm in doing so, but those that might be looking to re-balance/adjust their EOS portfolio might want to keep a close eye on the price throughout September!

You will note that after the conference in NY, there was little to no movement on price. It's important to remember here that U.S. citizens cannot participate, so they were probably all like "Yah, whaaaateverrr".

Its getting time they start showing something tangible. I expect movement as of that first demo.

Maybe also some explanation on the distribution of the EOS blockchain tokens

@sbrys agreed we need to start seeing tangible results and information could be given on distribution.

They have said it will be next year that the blockchain is expected, so hopefully we will start to see indicators of that as a possibility soon!

Lets hope its a mind blowing demo :) Ive been accumulating quite some EOS and it would reward my persistence !

Also would like to point out to people they need more patience in crypto. Would so much like a told you so :)

United States citizens can in fact participate, all you need is a Kraken account mate.

You can bet your house hedge funds domiciled outside the U. S. are going to be taking positions in EOS and many other tokens. Those funds will have mechanisms for accepting U.S. investors. People need to understand how desperately hedge funds need an asset class that works for them. Money will pour into these tokens in the future in my opinion.

@kinghill7 - you're most definitely correct. I know a few things in this area and would only say that it may not be possible for much longer. There has been a lot of progress made regarding anti-money laundering and counter financing of terrorism regulations which I think will directly impact on these types of funds and their investors.

Time will tell, but thanks for pointing out a very important truth!

@tolkatore that is a very valid point and one that is being made around many ICOs that are worried about U.S. or other citizens participating.

In the context of the events I'm referencing in the article however, the party line expressed to all potential investors by the EOS team will be that U.S. citizens cannot participate.

I mean that in the sense that none of the larger corporate investors that have beneficial owners that are U.S. citizens will be able to invest....unless through exchanges, which is doubtful when you're dealing in millions or billions.

I'll be clearer on statements like this in future.

All good, just wanted to let everyone know that you could still get in.

The people in charge of EOS are very intelligent, and all they did to get around the regulators, is to say in their terms of agreement, that an EOS token is completely worthless, and promises nothing in return... pure genius actually.

@tolkatore - couldn't agree more! Whilst many ICOs are struggling with the SEC rulings, EOS is happily doing it's own thing.

I have high hopes for it!

I'm interested to see what happens when Qtum launches on mainnet this month as I see it being in competition to EOS, but we shall see!

They could all try, but the EOS team and it's billion dollar backed company are doing things right, and not rushing shit out the door like everyone else.

You think it's a coincidence that Ethereum is trying to shove all these new upgrades into the platform?

No, no... they know EOS is coming.

IMO there will be moving in prize because the testnet is making great progress. Once it will start and devs can test it, there will be movement.

That's the problem with just reading the chart. This thing could pop overnight without warning just like the rest of them. Then it's would, coulda, shoulda.

Exactly! Today EOS released News about EOS Dawn 1.0 - I think it is time to rise

@veliton77 I think that's you I and@sbrys in agreement that demos and tangible product or milestones being achieved in the project will quite quickly turn price action around.

Yes! 👍🏻

I believe once testnet is out, it will give developers a chance to play around with it and judge the product for them self. I believe price movement will happen whether good or bad. I am hoping it will be good, i will definitely be having a play with it until then we can only speculate.
