With this bear-market and "low" prices there are a lot masternodes that are below 200 dollar or even 100 dollar!
I often use https://masternodes.online/ to check for prices/volumes or just information how much coins are needed for a masternode.
Here are a few coins i think are projects with a healthy volume and development:
Coin | Price($) | Coins for a masternode | Total price($) |
---|---|---|---|
Crown | 0.112 | 500 | 56 |
Syndicate | 0.025 | 5000 | 125 |
SmartCash | 0.013 | 10.000 | 127 |
Horizen | 4.51 | 42 | 190 |
Prices are from 01/13/2019
Why this coins? This are all coins you can buy on a big exchange with a decent volume. When you buy the coins you want some volume but also when you sell them later. All the projects are not "new" they are in the field for a few year(s).
I also know that they have active developers and communities.
For a masternode you need a server (VPS) that runs 24/7. The OS is Ubuntu LTS for the most time. Installation is often a script, they all have a nice guide how to install the VPS.
The local wallet is on you're pc/laptop with all the coins. You don't have to be online with that wallet. The rewards are more often than with a staking coin. Before this bear-market all this masternodes where much more expensive. Now you can buy one for a "decent" price. Crown is only 56 dollar.
Do you have a masternode? So which one? I have a Crown Systemnode and looking for another from the list above.
