Bitcoin has been the top dog in cryptocurrency since it began. The problem with Bitcoin is that transactions take way too long and the fees are very high compared to other altcoins. For example, when i recently sent money to coinexchange.io to buy Neuro (made 90$ profit yay!) I lost about 12$ total on the transaction due to volatility and fees. If another currency hits the #1 spot in market capitalization that is stable and has low fees and quick transaction time
, I think it would benefit everybody and people would not constantly lose money to Bitcoin. This is why i think that Bitcoin will not stay at #1 for long. Other altcoins have so many advantages over Bitcoin and would benefit the whole crypto community

If you look at the most recent development regarding Segwit2x, you will realize that the miners have capitulated to the UASF (user activated soft fork), this means come the first of august the price of bitcoin is most likely to skyrocket. Ethereum is inherently weak as can be seen with the recent ICO's which clogged up their network. I do not see any crypto coin valuation coming near Bitcoin in the next year or two. I am on the lookout for LBRY Credits, IOTA and Cofound.it. These are some of the new blockchain innovations that have capacity to causes a huge change in the next 12 to 24 months.
