Vitalik Buterin Proposes 120 Million Cap For Ethereum

The creator of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin has recently wrote a new ethereum improvement proposal (EIP) which relates to the crypto's maximum supply.

The limit on the amount of ethereum ever could be created has been one of the biggest outstanding questions in the community.

In his EIP issued on April 1, 2018, Buterin recommended to set the maximum supply of ethereum to exactly 120,204,432.

The amount is twice of that sold during its initial coin offering in 2014.

Ethereum's protocol has long been having an open-ended policy when it comes to supply, and this proposal could clear up questions from critics and investors who have doubted its potential as an investment opportunity.

More of the proposal can be found here.
