Japan Supports Eleven Different Cryptocurrency Exchanges
Announced September 29, 2017, the Financial Services Agency (FSA) of Japan has approved 11 cryptocurrency exchange opereators in the country.
One of the exchanges approved is Bitflyer which is currently one of the leading crypto-exchange in the country.
FSA said that with this new regulation, Japan, specifically Tokyo aims to put balance between the need to protect the investors and the need to support fintech innovations.
This move has set Japan to become the center for everything Bitcoin and one of the most cryptocurrency-friendly country in Asia.
Trump Administration to Adopt Blockchain Technology
The current administration of the United States has confirmed its commitment adopt the Blockchain technology for government operations as an essential strategy and policy.
This was reiterated during the Data Transparency 2017 conference which was held this September 26, 2017 by 2 senior White House officials.
The government is currently exploring various forward-leaning capabilities of the technology that could benefit government operations.
Benefits could include wastse, spending and fraud reduction, as well as the country's bolster cybersecurity defenses.
There are already existing Blockchain projects by the US government agencies such Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and General Services Admininstration (GSA).
