The above picture is from the latest cryptocurrency investors and traders meetup in Makati Manila. Read about it here:

Rainy night from a car while getting for the cryptocurrency meetup in Manil

I'm glad that I'd finally overcome my writing block...

The portfolio

chart(4).png

BTC

This is obviously my biggest position but I never treat it as an investment per se. It's a gateway to the other ,,worlds" All crypto are denominated in BTC as all other assets are denominated in USD, even BTC itself. Altcoins -> BTC -> USD (or other fiat). This is how it looks now. Bitcoin itself is too big and too ,,slow" to become rich just by trading it. For people with less capital of course.

DECENT

This is still held in ICO website and traded only as IOU token at Openledger, Liqui and HITBTC. It's being traded around 20$ at HITBTC but it would be crazy and give the market valuation of IOTA. Well the projects started at the similar time so DECENT in fact could became BIG. I should invested much more into it but still my position is big enough to make me happy. Of course in me Excel spreadsheet it's just the nominal value, BTC invested x BTC price at the time. I'm not including any pre trading prices to my ICO positions so they are all severely undervalued. I'd rather be surprised.

Buy:

https://hitbtc.com/exchange/DCT-to-BTC
https://openledger.io/market/OPEN.DCT_OPEN.BTC

iExec RLC

This suddenly became my 3rd position just today. During that mini market crash I decided to buy it because it went to sub 50M market cap which i found very cheap compared to Golem which is it's competition. I sold my GUP temporarily to buy iEX but eventually I'll buy back GUP (Matchpool) again to my portfolio.

Buy: https://bittrex.com/Market/Index?MarketName=BTC-RLC

TAG

Well it's a really speculative position almost equal to iEx in size. I've been at the meetup with the creator of TAG here in Manila (Makati) just on last Saturday. The project is heavily undervalued at around 1.5M USD and he told us about interesting updates and news coming. One of the most interesting thing was that he is seeking for a technical possibility to do an ICO of TAG just by stopping the blockchain at a certain block, do the ICO and then release the blockchain some blocks ahead. That would be probably first event like that in the crypto history. Plus he's really passionate with this project and he even ,,unofficially told us that by buying this token we are becoming the shareholders in his company which is located in Philippines. My prediction if this gets more acceptance in Philippines as something like the WeChat (this is what the creator said about their app which you can already get form the AppStore and Play Store and use) is market cap of 15-20M USD.

Update from Mark Vernon, the creator:

Thanks for the comments about TAG - however, I have decided against doing an ICO with TAG, concentrating on continuing development in the rewards industry (linking to closed loop currencies, giftcards, loyalty stamps etc), which is big enough in itself. Now looking at launching a new ICO for the Fintech Philippines Association to manage, for use in remittance, voting, PH based projects. Will get feedback from everyone who wants to contribute and push forward..;) Of course I would enable buying and trading of a new currency within the Tagcash platform, so ordinary Filipinos not holding any crypto can buy and hold or use in their own projects

MONA

It accounts for 5.5% of my portfolio which might be surprising because it's just another DOGE era shitcoin right? Well the think is that MONA has some perks that people are unaware of. Halving which is happening in 30 days it's just one of the things but more important is that some Japanese stores started accepting it plus with acceptation of BTC and cryptocurrency mania in Japan, MONA is in really interesting position because of it's bounds to the Japanese pop-culture, kawaii and all that stuff. We are suspecting MONA to take off but expected movement could be estimated at 100-150% in upcoming months.

Looking pumpy:

BOScoin

Another ICO which will be available to trade in October when the mainnet launches. I'm really happy that I've invested in it and invested more than double of what I usually put into the ICO's. They collected just 10M USD which was their M-cap. Sale lasted less then 24 hours but was not OVER hyped. It's a project that could be compared to Qtum or Tezos. It's Korean and I think it's a hidden gem and many people will severely regret missing that ICO. Qtum is already traded at market cap of 300M USD and I believe that BOS is capable of doing at least half of it. 1500% would be something.

Bancor Protocol

Same size as BOS in my portfolio. BIG hype, huge croudfund and trading starts in 5 days. I don't expect too much but I think that 100-200% is possible. Bought it mostly because of the binge buying of ICO's.

MobileGO

Heavily overfunded with 53M USD in ICO but still can be sold with a profit of around 70% but I'm going to HODL a bit. Bittrex trading starts soon.

Buy: https://liqui.io/#/exchange/MGO_BTC

Skycoin

I sold my Steem yesterday to buy it after reading the latest Cliff's rapport. It's a really interesting privacy coin concept. Privacy coins will be always in demand. Plus it's valued just at 10M, never had a pump and the price chart is flat. Plus there is an ongoing ICO which is complicated for many people but might be very profitable. I mean having a tradable coin and doing another round of ICO is something new but can really pump up the value of already released tokens. Plus it's not some ERC20 but their own blockchain and technology.

Buy: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=SKY_BTC#

Eth Bits

I thought it was scam but they have released the tokens plus there is a ongoing development and their Telegram is busy as hell. They made some changes to contract so currently the trading is frozen but once it's done we are able to continue trading at Etherdelta and Cryptopia. It's damn now because it hasn't even reflected the growth of ETH price...

Buy: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=ETB_BTC

EncryptoTel

Interesting technology, ICO underfunded even though there was a glitch which made the ICO last longer due to block time so they have collected 4.5M when the max cap was set at 3M. But it's still cheap ant project like this will be valued at around 30-50M market cap in the near future. HODL.

Buy: https://tidex.com/exchange/#/pair/eETT_BTC

Giga Watt

ICO is still ongoing. This is most likely not going to give a huge profits but more of an fixed income from renting out the hash power and mining activities. Another area covered in my portfolio. Long term hold.

Buy ICO: https://cryptonomos.com/wtt/

Steemit

Why not STEEM? Well because I keep majority of it in STEEM POWER so I titled it in my portfolio as Steemit. This is long term hold for me because I'm only cashing out my earned STEEM when I see some potential investments like I did with the Skycoin yesterday.

YOYOW

This one is very interesting because it's the Chinese version of Steem. The IOU tokens are already at over 350% profit at Bitshares exchange. I believe that when this projects hits exchanges in October we will get much more than 350% of profit. Imagine how big could it get with Chinese people being frenzy for investing in startups. Plus the population number itself...

Reasons:

  • Chinese people prefer their own version of western apps (see Uber and Didi case)
  • they are highly patriotic when it comes to economy,
  • Steemit might get banned in CH like Facebook and Google (mind it),
  • startup buying went crazy in China:

Buy IOU: https://openledger.io/market/YOYOW_CNY

Peerplays

Another projects of Steem and Bitshares people. Graphene blockchain. Exposition for gambling area in cryptocurrency. I bought ICO and now it's here: https://cryptodao.com/site/index/PPY
Valued at mere 16M USD. But potential is much higher.

ZAPPL

The last and smallest position in my portfolio. It will be just a Twitter like addon for Steemit. Currently nobody is interested in buying it so I could just get my investment back if I would sell it now here: https://openledger.io/market/ZAPPL_BTS
HODL and see because ICO target was really low, like 40 BTC if I remember. It can be surprising in the future because it might get attention as a working shell on top of the Steemit. Just shhh.

Veritaseum

Well I currently own 0 although selling ICO tokens and the ones that I've bought at Etherdelta at 0.04 gave me around 1000% profit. But I'm still waiting for my bounty so yeah I still own VERI, just don't know how much...

Buy: https://etherdelta.github.io/#VERI-ETH

Exscudo

The most insignificant position in my portfokio. This is just another crypto exchange like Ethbits but we need exhchanges. They are vital for cryptospace because they are our infrastructure. Plus they pay fees for token holders which makes a lot of sense.

Webiste: https://exscudo.com/

Recent growth of cryptospace boosted the cryptocurency position in my portfolio to whooping 70%!

My first paid investment paper coming

I'm currently deeply researching an extraordinarily promising investment but I'll release it as a paid rapport because it's a very rare thing that consumes a lot of my time. Stay tuned!

Is Yoyow set up like Steemit, where they can earn coin by posting?

Yes YOYOW is supposed to be a Steemit for Chinese community (quite big huh).

Reasons:

  • Chinese people prefer their own version of western apps (see Uber and Didi case)
  • they are highly patriotic when it comes to economy,
  • startup buying went crazy in China:

Very interesting read thanks for sharing. I need to make my profile a bit more like yours lol, but I was wondering why are so few investments in stocks?
Upvoted and Followed

I have stocks + Agricultural ETF's which together accounts for more significant portion of my portfolio. But I'm going to get out of them completely because returns are laughable compared to the cryptoworld.

Thanks for following me.

makes sense thanks for answering my question

Thanks for sharing your portfolio @dawidrams and great explanation of all of your coins. I'm definitely looking into investing into some of the upcoming ICOs (especially Filecoin) and with all the recent dumps in altcoins lately, I might just start putting a lot more into STEEM. Keep us posted!

Thanks for posting this insightful article. I'm new to the cryptocurrency realm. And you covered a good amount of coins I hadn't even done any research on. I appreciate that you didn't just throw out the usual coins that everyone else does.

I'm buying very rare coins anc ICO's. It's my investment strategy and it pays off.

I have not heard of most of the these coins. How do you do your research before putting money into them?

Slack, Telegram, BTT, white papers, my own research group on Discord.

Thanks!

Following you now to see what you post. Maybe eventually I will get a paid report after I see more articles. Thanks for sharing though!

Thank you.

I understand that people are cautious when it comes to paid researches. I must start doing it because I went full time into investing and trading and I'd really appreciate some stable income...

Ya I get it. It's all good. You seem to do what you do good! Thanks for sharing what you did with us. Hopefully one day steemit is enough of a stable income for you! But in the mean time I might pay to hear the report/rapport! Take it easy! Thanks for the quick response!

Great!

What about Lunyr project? I remember You were very optimistic about that one few weeks ago. Is it very long term investment?

I currently don't own it but still look at it. I expect it to drop lower and then I might rebuy it.

I would also like to hear more about Zappl

What a great article. I'm trying to learn more about crypto and it was great that you explained why you held each coin.

Same here :). Alternative investment markets like those with cryptocurrencies might be the way to gain much higher returns in comparison to stock exchanges or Forex.

Thank you for this info!

Great breakdown of those coins. I didn't even know you could buy into Zappl.

I think Peerplays is a good bet. Heh. Seriously though, vices make a boat load of money.

Pretty good informations...But you should represent the first graph in English...for us to understand that too...follow me @nazirkhyber

Oh sorry for that it just says percentage vs position. Fixing it ASAP.

Liczysz udział procentowy jako (w przypadku Decent, Bancor, Giga watt) wkład początkowy czy jako aktualną cenę W przypadku Decent można ją znaleźć https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/decent/ ?

Oczywiście tylko wkład początkowy, inaczej DECENT by stanowił z 80% :D

good post,my friend
thanks for sharing

@dawidrams what can you say about Bitmain's post about Giga watt?
https://blog.bitmain.com/en/gigawatt-infringement-announcement/

Also, where and when do you do the meetups? Im just in BGC Taguig.

That's a bit strange but let's hope it's not a scam. Maybe there were some misunderstandings.

Meetup was held in Brainsparks Makati, Bitspace co-working office.

https://web.facebook.com/events/1814156575579054/?_rdc=1&_rdr

I'm in Quezon City.

So glad you wrote this.

Glanced through the list.

My brain is working.

I have this bookmarked for now. :)

Perhaps for your next post: how do you track them all...

It's actually a good idea for the next post. Thanks.

Have you invested in many projects?

Great.

I did invest in a couple of coins but nothing life-changing.

Or any serious cash investment involved.

At the moment: XRP, AMP, BAT and Digibyte...

I am only targeting ICOs.

Missed Bancor and BAT...

Would love to know what are the ICOs you are looking forward to...

Definitely going to get into one or two! Help a brother out! :D

No Waves?

No.

Good article. I fully understand what you're talking about. The coin market will be turbulent for the upcoming year(s) but I really believe in it. We really need more insights in the market and previous investment results (even though they don't deliver any guarantee for the future). This is quite an interesting website I found: https://www.coincheckup.com This site is really helpful in my coin research. I don't know any other sites with so much indepth analysis.
