Have you ever wanted to participate in airdrops/Bounties and ICOs but do not know how it works or how to begin? If you answers yes, thenthis post was developed strategically for you.
Over the next days, I would be doing a simple series to educate you on the topic "Airdrops"-it's relevance, it's procedures and the requirements to enable you qualify as a participant.
For this post, we will focus on defining what airdrops are and what ICOs, get you started on various requirements peculiar to platform and then we will begin to show you practically, how to go about it and which airdrops to fill.
What are Airdrops?
Every cryptocurrency platform requires all participants to help dessiminate information about their current and prospective projects and in return, get rewarded with certain amounts of their coins/tokens based on your level of task performance.
Therefore,
To both a layman and a crypto analyst, airdrops are free coin giveaways gotten from already existing or originating cryptocurrency platform as a reward for carrying out the task of advertising the projects of the said platforms via specified social media platforms.
The prospective participants would then be required to submit their details and proofs that all such tasks have been carried out. The platforms collate the data of each participants through Google forms and then sometimes emails you a copy of the data filled.
NB: No legit airdrop platform would ask for your password in their Google application forms. So be careful not to give away your secret codes (Private keys, passwords etc).
Airdrop Requirements for Participants
There are various requirements that intending participants must fully possess in a bid to successfully receive the coin/token rewards.
In nor particular order of preference;
- Bitcointalk Profile
- Active Telegram Account (@username)
- Active Twitter Account (not less than 100 followers)
- Facebook Account (not less than 250 friends)
- Ethereum Wallet Address
- Valid Email Address
In some very rare occasions, the following could also be requested;
- Reddit Account/Profile Link
- Medium Account
- Waves Wallet
- YouTube Account
- Github Account
Most times these platforms might want participants to register directly on their own websites. In this case, you would not be required to fill a Google form. You would only be redirected to the platform's website where after you are done providing your details, you would be given a referral code with which to carry out the task of advertising.
Procedures for Completing a Google Form
Depending on the platform, most airdrops are completely filled and submitted through Google forms. Here is a comprehensive procedure to adequately guide you when filling such Google forms.
Step 1
Click on the Google form links to be redirected to the other line form.
Step 2
Read through the provided information about the offered coin/token and carefully execute the instructions given
(join the telegram groups, follow on Twitter, retweet pinned post etc).
Step 3
Insert all the required details (Emails, Twitter username, tweet links, Bitcoin talk profile link or username, ERC 20 Ethereum address).
Step 4
Submit the Form.
NB: The Red asterisks (*) shows that's it is compulsory to provide those details.
Also, it is not advisable to fill one form more than once with one account. As such accounts would eventually be disqualified.
Thus, do not be greedy to be able to get some reasonable reward for your labor.
Also, do not insert an Ethereum address from an exchange.
It might appear tasking at first. But with time is becomes a walk in the park.
I hope this was helpful?
If yes, what then are you waiting for? Sign up into Telegram Groups that promote airdrops and begin to apply for some legit giveaways.
