I think anonymous Altcoins will gain more popularity than Bitcoin in the future because the anonymity aspect in my opinion gives them the edge. At the end of the day, if a transaction can be traced back to you, you may as well just hold a paper currency or if you want to protect against inflation, just hold precious metals.
