Do you think you have a chance to earn free coins on Binance?
I signed up over at Binance, because I was getting issues with Bittrex on FireFox and not all coins are traded on Bittrex. And, there was the other carrot that they give away free coin on a regular basis.
But, there is a catch!!
It seems that with all of these giveaways, you need to have a large amount of coin in order to get close to getting any of the free coin. In fact, in the last Binance & TRON - Bring you a Merry Christmas that ended on December 25th, in order to get any of the free coin, you need 1 BTC of coin. The contest started on December 12th, so having 1 BTC would have been between $14,000 and $19,000 during that time period. Granted, that might not seem a lot in investment amounts, it is a lot for a lot of people. To give you a chance of how the competition did, here's the final top holders on December 25th.
2469 BTC * $13,623.00 == USD$33,635,187
The #1 person, who receive a Maserati, bought and sold 2469 BTC worth of TRON(TRX) in just a couple of weeks. Even though this is trading volume, it does seem like a lot of money buying and selling. As someone who doesn't even have a full BTC total of all of my coins together, it seems that the competition was lost before it was even started.
Of course, don't fear being left out, because John McAfee made TRON(TRX) his Coin of the Day tweet for today.
To top things off, John, who I'm guessing didn't know about the Binance offer also Tweeted this today.
Tron is a long term Hodl. Those who are flipping it are losing out.
However, due to the massive pumps and dump every time Mr. McAfee sneezes at a coin, he has ended his Coin of The Day before the first week of coins were printed. But, he Tweeted that it would return as a Coin of the Week.
Due to heavy pressure from crypto adherents, exchanges, developers and every other corner of the earth (and God himself chastised me in my dreams last night), the "Coin of the day" will become "Coin of the week" starting immediately. You can look for it every Monday morning.
So, for those of you holding as it is dropping over 10% today, feel good in that TRON(TRX) will come back when the rest of the AltCoins start rebounding. It might not be one of John's Top 5 coins that will surpass BitCoin, but just remember, what he feels will happen to BitCoin.
As I predicted, Bitcoin is rebounding and rapidly climbing after Christmas. It is still, by far, the best long term crypto investment, and I firmly stand by my prediction of $1 million by the end of 2020.

Yes.
I can't give much advice, other than I've seen people talk about them and I think they will do well in the future.

Otherwise how to you feel about Binance? I feel that I need a tutorial just to get going on it. I have a bit of investment experience but am new to the crypto game. Is their platform more complex than others?

The connection stays better than Bittrex.
The charts are nice, but I think the menu tabs are a little bit of a pain. I want to click on my wallet and not do two clicks to get that spot.
I think it is just as easy to use as Bittrex, so far. Some of the others, I clicked on and their layouts and displays looked pathetic. I think Binance will continue to improve their GUI.

Thank you for your feedback @deanlogic! I am currently just using Coinbase for BIt and ETH but am working on digging down into the altcoin universe. Doing all the research I can first so I don't run in blind. Keep up the good work!

When you finally get your Steem flowing in, Bittrex is the best for moving Steem/SBD into BitCoin to start trading. Just a free transfer up to Bittrex and then you can sell it at your price.

Cool! I was on there last night getting familiar with the platform. I also transferred my holdings from Coinbase to GDAX - was happy to see the free transfers - and toyed around a little with some limit orders.

I think, if I were to have the best options, it would be Bittrex user interface, with Binance's connection and coin promotions.
