I think there are 3 main reasons -
transaction speed // fast very fast - no banking system have this - same speed as PayPal
stability - it's not deflation designed as bitcoin so the price is more stable.

yes but also one important thing is their project (smart contracts). Most alt coins are just copies of bitcoin and have no real value in them unlike ethereum.
