So I actually bought half a bitcoin back in 2014 when it was $350 a pop. I had forgotten about it until I friend told me it was $2500. I couldn't believe the price had jumped that much and me, wanting to pay some of my student bills, cashed out. 
Peaked Interest
After I made a unforeseen thousand bucks, I predictably got more interested in crypto. I am just a college student going to school full time and working full time, but I still have managed to scrap together some money to invest. These are the coins I bought.
Ethereum
I bought 1 token at $275. Ethereum is the underlying blockchain used in the majority of coins and it's smart contracts have been utilized plenty in ICO's. I think this will continue in the future and as cryptocurency in general grows, so will ethereum. I also wasn't sure how the bitcoin hard-forks were going to work out, so ethereum seemed like the safest bet.

Litecoin
I bought 2 tokens at $50 a piece. Litecoin was a good buy in my opinion because it has a solid network and crew behind it, doesn't have many of the same scaling issues bitcoin has and has often been seen as a silver to bitcoins gold.
Current price $70
Dash
I bought $200 of Dash when the price was $325. I think Dash will continue to grow in value because of it's limited supply and good integration as a alternate form of payment compared to Bitcoin. I think Dash will continue to grow significantly.

EOS
I bought 150 EOS at $.75. This was my wildcard buy, but it turned out to be one of my best. This coin has been dubbed the "ethereum killer". It is a long way from becoming that and my buy was pure speculation, but It will undoubtedly continue to grow.

Bitcoin
I bought $350 at $4700. It is tough not to wager into this coin when the market is exploding. The father of all cryptos has been on a historic tear and I believe we are still at the base.

I will continue to invest in crypto and I don't expect to get rich, but making some money of this bull run is defiantly a goal of mine and I see the blockchain technology as a game changer in many industries. It's in the infancy, but the promise is remarkable.
I should've invested in EOS when you suggested. In case you don't remember, you commented on my first post about 2 weeks ago. Do you think it's still a good investment? I think so but I'm a bit dicey about it.

Yah, it has exploded quicker then I could have thought. And I think it is still a really good buy because the same person who created bitshares and steemit is working on EOS. That is important because steemit and bitshares are the fastest platforms out there by far. Steemit handles more transactions then ethereum and it is at less then 1% capacity. EOS is a decentralized utility platform similar to that of ethereum. I believe it could be a top 2-5 crypto over the long run. Short term I see it getting to $15-20 over the next couple months, if this rally continues. It still has a lot of work to do and some of the action is due to the speculative frenzy, but I am going to be putting more money in
