I think there are 3 main reasons -

  • transaction speed // fast very fast - no banking system have this - same speed as PayPal

  • stability - it's not deflation designed as bitcoin so the price is more stable.

  • PoW ending in November.

    yes but also one important thing is their project (smart contracts). Most alt coins are just copies of bitcoin and have no real value in them unlike ethereum.

      yes maybe ... Smart Contracts sounds like a wonderful idea but I am afraid is just some kind of marketing smoke - not something that can really be done.
