ASROCK ANNOUNCES ITS RANGE OF VIDEO CARDS FOCUSED ON CRIPTOMONED MINING

A few days ago, the company ASRock, a major manufacturer of motherboards, personal computers and servers, announced its entry into the market for video cards (GPU) for computers with the launch of its ASRock Phantom Gaming series.

According to the CEO of ASRock, LL Shiu, this has been possible thanks to the joint work between this company and AMD, an important company that develops processors (CPU) for computers and other technological products, such as video cards.

To equip this new line of video cards Phantom Gaming X, ASRock has opted for the family of GPU RX 500 that will give the power of processing to four models of graphics cards based on the RX580, RX570, RX560 and RX 550.

The models based on the RX580 and RX570, will have 8 GB of GDDR5 memory and will incorporate a cooling system of double ventilation, while the models based on the RX560 and RX550 will arrive with two variants each of 2 and 4 GB of memory respectively and with a unique fan cooling system.

It should be noted that, shortly after this announcement by ASRock, a promotional image on Twitter was leaked which shows that the RX570 model of these video cards is mainly intended to be used in cryptocurrency mining.

In fact, according to other specialized sources, an ASRock employee recently claimed that these video cards are designed specifically for cryptocurrency mining.

ASRock, for the moment, has not revealed the date on which their new video cards will be available in the market, nor have they specified what their prices would be.

Although this is the first time that ASRock produces video cards capable of being used in cryptocurrency mining, this company has previously created another type of specialized hardware for this activity, so important in the blockchain ecosystem.

Recently this company announced in launch of a motherboard that allows to connect 13 video cards to mine cryptocurrencies. The model of this motherboard is called Asrock H110 Pro BTC + and follows the previous generation of the Pro BTC series, resembling its price and effectiveness.
