With the current storm around Web privacy & Data miss-use in mind, here are a few quickly gathered alternative Web Browser/Search Engine alternatives claiming to guarantee your online privacy... Some block Ads too. The list is by no means exhaustive so there is plenty of choice... Who knew?
Due to the lack of tracking and recording of your browsing habits, you should expect a pared-down, non-personalised and broader search experience as a consequence . Even any Ads displayed are "category" based rater than personalised. You will see some Search Engines//Browsers use either Google and Bing by proxy and others use their own search algorithms.
One more thing to bear in mind, legal requirements vary from country, meaning the browser providers will still need to fulfil their obligations within their jurisdictions. My understanding the EU has tougher regulations regarding your privacy than the US.
Always remember to check settings to get the best experience. this is often overlooked when installing browsers
