Another red day for cryptocurrencies:
The prices of all of the top 15 cryptocurrencies (measured by market capitalization) declined in the previous 24 hours due bad press and rumors.
Unfortunately we only see double digits in the top 15 chart, except Tether… wait what?!?… Yes, despite the big fuzz last week about Tether and Bitfinex it seems like people trust it anyways.
In the Top 100 cryptocurrencies only 1 crypto is green and that is:
All in all we still see the ongoing decline in global market capitalization related to panic-sells due to bad press and rumors on a daily basis over the last couple of weeks.
And finally another interesting chart:
As you can see the dominance of bitcoin suffered over the past 3 months and declined from over 60% to about 36% today. On the other side Ethereum slowly but steady increases his dominance from 14% to around 21% over the last 3 months. We also can see a significant increase in Others (all Cryptocurrencies expect the Top 10) from barely 10% to 22% today.
Bitcoin doesn’t seem to get the support it did all those previous years back. It seems like many people see the potential in new projects and other technologies like Tangle for example.
Let’s just hope the flood of bad press comes to an end so the market can finally stabilize itself and we see some green again!
