There certainly are a lot bullish predictions and for 2018 many of them started soon after the first correction when the price hit 6k levels.

While projections with market backed reasons are of value, there has been a level of mindless charting out there where analyst have recognized a commonly known reversal pattern and then drawn a trend line up going upwards back above 20k, accompanied by reasoning such as “the bears are gonna get smashed” or something of the sorts.
