IOStoken is a platformer and has 2 features, a) innovative Efficient Distributed Sharding (EDS) and b) Proof-of-Believability (PoB). EDS is like Sharding which Ethereum is planning to implement as well for further scalability.
PoB is like Proof of Importance (PoI) which Nem implements, taking several factor such as contribution and behavior other than stake into consideration for consensus mechanism, while fairness is ensured with algorithmic randomness.
