Hi everyone,
Welcome back and thank you for reading my blog. If you are now just tuning in, my first blog showed what GPUs I am using and how I put the rig together. My second blog showed how I optimized the rig to run 5 cards, but I am not done yet, I will be adding my sixth GPU (RX580 Pulse 8gb) to the system once I receive my pcie riser from Amazon.
I found some interesting information recently about the motherboard I am using, it can support up to 7 GPUs.
How?, with a M.2 pcie adapter. Some people were able to get it to work and some couldn't, so there's a 50/50 chance it won't work for me. Since the adapter is only $6 dollars it won't break the bank if it doesn't work. Once I get the adapter I'll test it with RX580 Pulse to see if the motherboard recognizes, if it does I may be ordering another GPU.
With Ethereum's recent rise from $610 ETH/USD on December 24, 2017 to ~$860 ETH/USD, I personally think it is still profitable to mine. I hope it continues to rise or stay around the $860 price range, if it stays as it is I might be able to make my return sooner than I planned.
Anyways, starting with this blog I will do a weekly analysis of my earnings. Below shows that I have mined a total of 0.156 ETH since December 24, 2017. It will take an estimate of 3 days until my next payout. At the current price of $860 ETH/USD, I have made about $134 dollars.
Here is Nanopool's calculator, they used the information sent from my computer to come up with those values.
I am also dual mining Decred and the current price of the coin is $110 DCR/USD.
This is the total amount of DCR I have mined and the payout is set to 0.11 DCR.
Since Dec. 24, 2018, I received two payouts and currently in holding is about 0.049 DCR. I have mined a total of 0.249 which equates to about $26 dollars.
Altogether, I have mined about $160 worth of altcoins in 9 days, this is not an accurate value because I have to turn off the miner or the computer to make changes to the rig.
I have some cryptocurrency in other platforms (i.e. bitcoin lending, cloud mining, and exchange trading), leave a comment if you want to read about these other platforms. If you have any questions or suggestions let me know, thank you again for reading.
