Hahaha, I had the same thought. I feel like this would make a good case study. If someone's voting power is largely contingent on the amount of time that she has invested on Steemit, than the curation of content would be driven more by the taste of early adopters than the actual quality of the content.

I wonder if this model is fated to stay a pyramid or if over time this will self correct with increased adoption.
