Precious metals or crypto currency?

Precious metals or crypto currency?

both

I find that too many people today are having disagreements over this simple question. The old saying; "Don't put all of your eggs in one basket" comes to mind almost immediately when this comes up in discussion. I understand that humans have the tendency to try and align themselves with one thing or the other, and will become almost tribal once they adopt an understanding of either the precious metals market or crypto currencies. I'm hoping that someday both of these communities can unite and work together towards the common goal we are all striving for - A bankless society.

I often hear the same go-to one liners when I speak to people about these two things. I often get the "Well, what happens when an EMP device goes off? where is my bitcoin then?" from precious metals holders, often accompanied by a pompous smirk. On the contrary, I often get the "Gold and Silver are the store of value from the past, crypto is the future, man" from the crypto community. There are many, many more one liners that we have all heard and for your sake I won't go through all of them. Lets stop all the bickering, and work together.

So how do you choose to safeguard your wealth? Or if you don't, what are your reasons? Please comment below and lets start a discussion.

Weird. I was thinking earlier today about posting on this exact subject and never got around to it.

Did you know that Andy Hoffman, long-time silver/gold guy, now has 15% of his assets in Bitcoin?

I've definitely read a few of Andy's articles but I did not know that he is invested in Bitcoin. It seems like a few of the big gold/silver names are recognizing crypto now. Mike Maloney is starting to ease into cryptocurrency as well, which is great. Do you invest in both?

Yes, mostly silver and Bitcoin for me, along with tiny amounts of gold and altcoins.
