I rly like your realistic view on this topic. many crypto-enthusiast's tend to praise cryptocurrency to heavens and above without adressing actual problems, possible solutions, "x-factors" and so on...

I'm so curious about the future of cryptocurrency, can't wait to see what 2018 may bring :) Who knows, maybe we are closer to the next step of mass adoption than we think right now.
For example there is this ICO who wants to implement a mobile-only cryptocurrency. from what i read so far the app seems to run smoothly (i saw some review on alpha/beta on android). Most interesting about this ICO is that they plan to make mobile-cryptomining as easy as pressing just one button (actually that's all you have to do in the app).
Compared to other ICO's i checked before they seem to have a bigger "fanbase" and in addition to a free app (well, as long as it's really working out in the end) i can imagine their will be some kind of "mass adoption" (i'm sure it won't be the 'mass' we are thinking about when we say 'mass adoption')

The ICO i'm talking about is phoneum.io - maybe, if you have the time to, you can take a look at it and say what you think about the project (by the time of writing this they still haven't released their final white paper, since they are reconstructing it at the moment)
